Before we made our way to the Deutsches Historisches Museum (Museum of German History) we stopped at Neue Wache (Central Memorial of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Victims of War and Dictatorship)
Then we went to the German History Museum...
Our time was spent in the exhibit "German History from the Middle Ages to the Fall of the Berlin Wall". After a thorough visit to the museum, the group made their way to the Neptunbrunnen
and over to Alexander Platz
And finally on the UBahn back to the hostel to rest some tired feet.
We did obey the Ampelmännchen. The Ampelmännchen are a virtual mascot for the East German nostalgia movement, known as Ostalgie (nostalgia for aspects of life in Communist East Germany)
